Information for patients from overseas

We are proctologist surgeons specialized in the treatment of anal fistulas. For our overseas patients, we would like to give some information in order to organize their medical treatment in our surgery in Munich.

Timeline:

  • Day 1: Consultation and physical examination. Optional imaging investigations.
  • Day 2: If surgery is recommended, it will be scheduled on the next day.
  • Days 4-x: Postoperative check-ups.
The treatment and healing process usually takes 3 – 10 days.

*We are happy to help! Prices depend on individual demand and major local events like fairs or the „beer  festival“, which takes place in September/October every year **Usually we perform complete treatment in our practice as a day case/outpatient.  ***Our practice is easily accessible from the airport by public transport (30 min)

Organisational

  • For visa, we provide a Medical Invitation Letter.
  • Staff members and doctors speak English fluently.
  • Due to German law a relative or friend is mandatory to accompany the patient after the surgery.
  • If medical reports exist, we would be grateful to receive them in advance.
  • Payment information: Visa cards and cash are accepted.
