Why we are specialized in outpatient surgery

In a recent multi-center study with over 6 million (!) participants published in the World Journal of Surgery, it was shown that patients recover faster and better after outpatient surgery than when the same surgery is performed in the hospital (based on 30-day morbidity).

You simply recover better at home than in the hospital!

It was also shown that the percentage of surgeries provided on an outpatient basis had increased from 37.8% in 2005 to 48.2% in 2018.

Patients with more severe concomitant diseases such as cardiac insufficiency or lung problems should, of course, still be treated in hospital because of the better specialist follow-up care.
